Automated External Defibrillation (4-5 hours) builds on the skills learned in CPR and first aid courses. AED provides knowledge of how the heart works and what goes wrong when defibrillation is required. Participants learn when and how to operate an automated external defibrillator including AED maintenance, data management, and reporting protocols required following an incident.
