First Aid Training
First aid training enables you to deal with injuries and medical emergencies at home, work or play.
Airway Management (4-5 hours):
Provides senior and experienced first aiders and lifeguards with specific knowledge and training in the use of oxygen, suction devices, oral airways and mask/bag-valve-mask (BVM).

Prerequisite: Current Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid.

LSS
Anaphylaxis Rescuer (1 hour):
Teaches the prevention, risk management, recognition and treatment for anaphylaxis including how to use an auto-injector (EpiPen or Twinject). Perfect for parents, teachers, childcare workers, camp staff, and those who work with youth.

*Offered as a stand-alone course or as an add-on to another course.

Junior Rescuer: Basic First Aid (3-4 hours):
Covers the basics including how to contact emergency medical services, rescue breathing, how to treat choking and minor injuries. Intended for children aged 5-12.

Junior Rescuer
Workplace Emergency First Aid with CPR B (6.5-8hrs):
Is for people who want a general knowledge of first aid principles and the emergency treatment of injuries. Skills include: victim assessment, CPR, choking, and what to do for external bleeding, heart attack, and stroke. Includes CPR-B certification; recognized by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.

Emergency First Aid is a prerequisite to Bronze Cross.
Recertification: Emergency First Aid recertification is the same course.

Workplace Emergency First Aid
Workplace Standard First Aid with CPR C (13–16 hours):
Provides comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid and CPR. This course is for those who want an in-depth understanding of first aid such as; medical/legal aspects, spinal injuries, heat or cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, abdominal and chest injuries, burns, and medical emergencies. Includes CPR-C certification; recognized by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.

Recertification: recommended every 2 years, 6.5–8 hours.
